Councillor Vacancy – Filled
There was recently a vacancy for the position of Councillor due to the resignation of Michelle Deller.
The Parish Council would firstly like to thank Michelle for her lengthy service in the role of Councillor and wish her well for the future.
As no applications were received via North Yorkshire Council Democratic Services the Parish Council were permitted to seek to fill the vacant position via the Co-option process.
Through this process the application from Mr. Malcolm Hancock was received, and considered at the Parish Council meeting held on 25th February 2025. The matter was resolved with Cllr Malcom Hancock joining Carlton Parish Council as Councillor. The standing Councillors and clerk would like to welcome Cllr Hancock to the fold, and wish him well in his time as Councillor.
